MEDINA, OH (Feb. 15, 2021) – Vestige Digital Investigations, a leading U.S. cybersecurity company, is pleased to announce co-owner, Damon Hacker, President & CEO at Vestige, is now a  CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP). Congratulations to Damon Hacker, MBA, CCE, CISA, CSXF, CMMC-RP.

Mr. Hacker, based out of the Cleveland headquarters, is co-owner of Vestige which opened in 2004.

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) developed the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to ensure appropriate levels of cybersecurity controls and processes are adequate and in place to protect controlled unclassified information (CUI) on DoD contractor systems.

Vestige is a Registered Provider Organization (RPO) and is pleased to directly employ a Registered Practitioner (RP), ensuring that Department of Defense Contractors are receiving the most current and best CMMC recommendations.

Vestige earned Registered Provider Organization (RPO) status in January. RPOs are part of the CMMC ecosystem and provide advice, consulting and recommendations to their client contractors. RPOs are required to associate/hire Registered Practitioners (RP), who undergo training provided by the CMMC Accreditation Body (CMMC-AB). This specialized training is designed to provide RPs and RPOs with relevant information pertaining to the basic CMMC methodology. RPs and RPOs have expert awareness in service delivery of what it takes to become CMMC certified. Bound by a Professional Code of Conduct, RPs are Trusted Resources who can guide contractors who wish to maintain their valuable DoD contracts through the journey in becoming CMMC certified.
